The International Mother Language Institute will provide research scholarships in five categories. This scholarship will be provided under the budget of the fiscal year 2026-27. The last date for application is 31 August 2026.
According to a notification of the organization, the International Mother Language Institute (AMAI) has taken the initiative to provide scholarships in the postdoctoral, PhD, MPhil, fellowship and professional research categories.
Research Category
In the case of professional research, any officer/employee working at ‘AMAI’ can apply for this research scholarship for short-term research (6 months) and large-scale research (10 months). In this case, the Research Management Committee will finalize the research scholarship after considering the educational qualifications and other experience of the applicant.
Application Rules
The applicant must fill out the prescribed application form (uploaded on the AMAI website – imli.portal.gov.bd) and submit his/her resume and list of research works/publications (if applicable).
Applicants located outside Bangladesh must download the application form from the Amai website and send the duly filled application form to [email protected], [email protected] (in PDF, JPEG or JPG format).
Application fee: 1000 Taka.
Application deadline: 31 August 2026.
Instructions and conditions
- In the case of fellowship research, government officers (above 40 years of age), retired officers, university/college professors/associate professors, experienced researchers and researchers working in any research institution can apply for this scholarship. For such research, the researcher should have MPhil/PhD degree and at least 2 publications on the relevant subject in a recognized (ISSN number) and peer-reviewed journal.
- If the applicant is currently conducting research funded by any other university/institute, he/she will not be eligible to apply.
- The same research proposal cannot be submitted in more than one category.
